“Aakar” literally means giving shape to something, that is exactly what we do through “Aakar;” Alkem’s Management trainee program by giving shape to careers of recently management and technical graduates selected through rigorous process of campus recruitment.
Objective
“Aakar” is designed to guide and support the career path of talented recent graduates. It aims to develop young talents with strong potential to become a future business leader in Alkem . “Aakar” has following objectives:
- The intensive and comprehensive talent management programme which provide Management Trainees with the opportunity to develop the skills and professional expertise necessary to establish a solid foundation for developing a successful career with Alkem.

- The programme prepares our Management Trainees to anticipate and solve complex problems, manage projects, build people network, and meet the continuous challenges Pharmaceutical Industry.

Programme Structure
“Aakar” is a 9 Month long program. During these 9 Months, each Management Trainee rotate in all key focus areas of growth for Alkem like R&D, Plant, Supply Chain, BD and Strategy, HR, Marketing and Sales.
Pedagogy
“Aakar” uses blended training methodologies like :
- Class room Training for developing requisite personal effectiveness skills and managerial skills.
- On the Job Learning
- During cross functional exposure it is project based learning and the individual projects are evaluated by experts.
- Periodic Meeting on presentation of learnings to key stake holders
- Final Presentation on overall learning at the end of 9 Months to the Management
